Our History
Margaret Hall was founded in 1963 in a small shop in Leamington Spa by husband-and-wife team, Ted and Margaret Hall. The business started out as a small general store that soon became well known for its fantastic homemade bread and cakes.
With the demand for the bakery increasing, Margaret concentrated on making her high quality confectionery goods and the Margaret's Country Kitchen business was born.
As the business grew the number of shops across the Midlands increased to 14 and the business moved to a purpose-built bakery in Warwick in 1973.
During the 1990's the business established a strong wholesale side to the business. Over time the growing success of the wholesale business led to the sale of the retail shops in 1998.
Our Craft Bakery Today
The business now concentrates on supplying its high quality, handmade range of Margaret's Country Kitchen craft bakery products through selected retailers and wholesale outlets nationwide.
To this day, the business prides itself on making everything onsite, with their talented and experienced team baking in small batches using the finest ingredients. In addition to the bakery's ambient product range, there are also onsite capabilities for blast freezing and frozen storage with the ability to supply frozen products to a range of regional and national customers.
